Shore Lines

To the purist a photograph should be exactly as captured by the camera. Digital photography means that photographers now have the scope to be more imaginative and to create other pictures by manipulating the original one.  The end result may be pleasing to some but disliked by others – it’s all a matter of preference.

Originally this was a picture of Troon beach which has been manipulated to create abstract lines but keeping the impression of water.  The figure of the kite surfer was superimposed from another image.

The new image is presented as a Triptych – three separate pictures which together make up one image.
